Youtube. Reasons Why It's So Indispensable.

youtubeI guess practically everyone knows site youtube.com - the most popular and biggest video hosting.

Let's talk about how YouTube can help us in learning English.

The most obvious reason - there are dozens of different videos in English. On each and every theme. Professional and "self made".

Few words about "self made". In movies, TV series, TV shows, etc. - there is an "ideal" English, not the "real" one. Presenters and actors have an ideal pronunciation, there is no background noise, all sentences are logically correct and so on. But there are no such things in real life.

In real life speech is more "wrong", with tautology, some logical gaps, etc. After you watched a lot of movies and began to think that you are rather well at understanding spoken English - it's may be a pretty upset to realize that you can't understand practically all "real" speech (or for example - song's lyrics).

And YouTube can help you to solve this problem - just watch from time to time "self made" videos, interviews, reports and so on with nonprofessional speakers. Sooner or later you'll begin to understand it all perfectly.

The other advantage to using YouTube is that there is a lot of videos on rather rare topics. Suppose that you are found of some particular theme (such as "HTML 5", "Drupal" or "AJAX" for web-developers). It's obviously that you want to learn and understand English first of all and best of all in your specialization. Reading books and articles isn't enough in most cases. But often there is no any themed movies. And YouTube helps again - there are plenty of videos on practically every subject (for example - for query "CSS 3" there are over 20 000 results, pretty amazing).

So YouTube isn't only a site for rest, but a very good instrument which can help you leaning English more faster and efficiently too.
